Reagent Evaluation
Rapidly identify the most appropriate reagent and corresponding consumption rate for your ore body in the lab and at the lowest cost.
The Reagent Evaluation test is a laboratory-scale batch test, undertaken to assist the plant operations with reagent optimisation. These tests can also be used to evaluate flotation process performance using new reagents for an existing or new ore body. Its major advantage is to identify the appropriate reagent and consumption rate for an ore body with lesser amount of cost and time.
Laboratory batch flotation tests provide indications for:
- Variation in mineralogy and head grade
- Liberation and grind size requirements (primary and secondary)
- Reagent types, quantities and dosage points
- Pulp density and viscosity effects
- Water quality effects
- Flowsheet alternatives
Sample Requirements:
- Any dry rock sample, for example: belt cut, stock pile, drill sample, underground, draw point sample, or tailings
- The minimum quantity of sample required to assess one reagent is 2kg.
- Information on grind size, reagent additions and pulp chemistry
Download the Sample Transmission Forms, which include Sample Hazard Advice Form, and Quarantine Declaration Form. A completed Sample Hazard Advice Form must accompany every sample shipped to JKTech. In addition, a Quarantine Declaration Form must be completed for every sample originating from outside Australia.
Key Benefits:
- Cost- and time effective
- Reliable and repeatable.
