JKMetAccount
This software program was developed jointly with JKTech and JKMRC personnel over a number of years to enable mine sites to provide better production accounting reporting in line with regulatory requirements. Mincom Limited, the largest stand-alone Enterprise Asset Management solution provider globally acquired the metallurgical accounting solution from JKTech at the end of 2006, and is now incorporated into their highly successful Intelligent Mining Solution range.

ALS Mineralogy
The Mineral Liberation Analyser (MLA) was developed at the JKMRC to enable quantitative automated mineralogical analysis of a wide variety of sample types and sizes. JKTech set up a bureau service in 1999 to provide mineralogical analysis based at the JK Centre facilities in Brisbane, Australia. In 2007, JKTech partnered with ALS Laboratory Group, the international leader in analytical testing services, to form a joint venture company known as ALS Mineralogy, and this company has expanded the MLA bureau service across Australia and around the world.

FEI
JKTech worked with FEI Company, the world leader in electron- and ion-beam solutions for a wide variety of applications, for more than 10 years to enhance the global roll-out of the MLA technology to achieve a market leadership position in the field of quantitative automated mineralogy. In 2009 JKTech sold the MLA intellectual property and associated business to FEI, and a number of JKTech personnel were also transferred across. FEI have continued to develop and support customers around the world with automated mineralogy solutions.

Blast Movement Monitors
A technique to estimate the boundaries between ore and waste after blasting was developed jointly by researchers at the JKMRC and Blast Movement Technologies (BMT), including the development of Blast Movement Monitors (BMM®). The intellectual property was licensed to BMT since 2005 and in 2010 was sold, also to BMT. BMT have continued to develop both software and hardware to better understand and estimate the ore and waste boundaries, reducing dilution and maximising grade of the ore delivered to the processing plant.

Soft-Blast
JKSimBlast is an award-winning, general-purpose software system for simulation and information management for blasting in mines and related operations. The software package was developed by JKTech based on mining research from the JKMRC and currently has over 400 users around the world across all applications associated with mining. JKSimBlast has been licensed to Soft-Blast since 2002 that distributes and provides full support and training for the program and other blasting-related services.
