Ore characterisation and separation optimisation have been enhanced through development of rapid quantitative mineralogy based on scanning electron microscopy (SEM).  The JKTech Mineral Liberation Analyser (MLA) is a suite of software that controls data capture from an SEM system.  It uses advanced image analysis to improve sample processing times and automated mineral identification.  It provides detailed quantitative information of mineral assemblages, texture and liberation.
