Scoping Study
· JKTech engineers (one mining, one processing) visit site to assess sampling needs and develop site specific procedures
· Select the primary ore types and domains to be surveyed. Review the blast design and plant performance of each domain
· Collect geotechnical data on chosen domains
· Discuss detail of the blast monitoring and plant audit and plan the logistics for the blasting and grinding surveys
· Prepare report which details the objectives and scopes of work for the Mine-to-Mill Project |
|
Blasting Survey
· Collect representative samples and conduct structural mapping in the proposed domain
· Review blast design and take high speed video of the blast
· Measure explosive properties
· Estimate ROM size distribution from digital photographs of muckpiles and back of trucks |
Grinding Survey
· Conduct surveys around the grinding circuit for each ore domain
· Collect data on the operating conditions of the grinding circuit
· Collect feed samples for JKBreakage tests
· Determine full size analysis and percent solids on all slurry samples |
|
JKSimBlast Modelling
· Conduct rock mechanics laboratory tests
· Estimate the rock mass blastability of the proposed domain
· Using blast audit, blast monitoring data, blastability and ROM fragmentation, develop a blasting model using JKSimBlast for calibrating and refining blasts
|
JKSimMet Modelling
· Conduct JKBreakage tests
· Using grinding survey data, testwork results and Split-OnlineTM data, develop a JKSimMet simulation model of the grinding circuit to predict circuit performance
|
|
Optimisation
· Using the JKSimBlast and JKSimMet models in collaboration with the client, investigate blasting and milling scenarios to predict the operating conditions that provide maximum efficiency and minimum costs
· Recommend a course of action to the client to achieve optimum operating conditions
