Manager SMI Knowledge Transfer

Ron joined JKTech in July 2009 as the Manager of the SMI Knowledge Transfer business unit.

Prior to joining JKTech, Ron was Manager of ACMER, a unit of SMI, from August 2006 until June 2009.  Ron has been working with the minerals industry since 1996 when he joined ACMER (originally the Australian Centre for Mining Environmental Research) as Technology Transfer Manager and developed ACMER's professional development program in close collaboration with the minerals industry and government.  Ron focussed on ACMER's strategic direction and he established a strong network of key industry and goverment personnel, both within Australia and internationally, to ensure delivery of a focussed, quality knowledge transfer program to industry.

Prior to 1996, Ron worked as an agricultural and rangeland scientist with CSIRO.  In his spare time Ron is an enthusiastic trekker.
