BSc (Mineral Processing), Licentiate Engineering (Process Metallurgy)

Xiaoyue graduated from North Eastern University (NEU) in China in January 1982 with BSc in Mineral Processing and received a Licentiate Engineering Degree in Process Metallurgy from Lulea University in Sweden in January 1992.

 

After graduation from NEU, she worked firstly at Shenyang University of Gold Technology in China for four years, lecturing Extractive Metallurgy and Mineral Processing.  She then worked as a research engineer on iron ore beneficiation with Maanshan Research Institute of Mining under the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry (MMI) of China until 1987.

 

Between 1988 and 1991, she worked as a research scholar at Lulea University in Sweden on bio-leaching and pressure oxidation projects for processing refractory gold concentrates at bench and pilot scales and received a Licentiate Engineering Degree in Process Metallurgy.

 

After migrating to Australia in 1992, she was awarded a research scholarship to study at Griffith University from 1994 to 1996 and was employed as a chemist by Queensland Department of Natural Resources from 1999 to 2004, conducting research projects in the area of beneficial utilization of sewage sludge and waste materials to agricultural land.

 

She went to Mount Isa Mines in 1997 to work as a project metallurgist on George Fisher feasibility study and in the Lead/Zinc Concentrator for two years.

 

From 2005 to 2008, she was with Intellection Pty Ltd as laboratory manager, QEMSCAN technical support and China business development manager.

 

Xiaoyue joined JKTech as Senior Mineralogy Consultant in June 2008.
