Dr David Steele joined the MLA group at JKTech in June 2007, in the role of Mineralogy Specialist.

David received a Bachelor of Science (with 1st Class Honours) in Geology, and a PhD in Geology, Mineralogy, and Geochemistry, both from La Trobe University in Melbourne.

Prior to joining JKTech, David was employed as Research Fellow in Microanalysis, Grant Institute of Earth Science, University of Edinburgh, where he oversaw the management, operation and maintenance of the Institute's CAMECA SX100 5-WDS and Camebax 4-WDS electron microprobes and support infrastructure, and the research and development of novel microanalytical protocols for mineral and materials analysis.

In his spare time, David enjoys social golf and bush walking.
