Sherwin graduated from the University of Natal in 2001 with a Bachelor or Science in Chemical Engineering degree (honours).  He joined Mintek (South Africa) in 2002 as part of his bursary commitment and worked in the Minerals Processing Division.  He was involved in various projects undertaken in the continuous pilot plant and flotation laboratory.  Other repsonsibilities included innovation and improvement of the pilot plant capabilities. 

In 2006, Sherwin joined Dowding, Reynard and Associates Mineral Projects (South Africa), as a process engineer.  He was responsible for the process design and commissioning of ISAMill circuits at Anglo Platinum operations.

Sherwin joined JKTech in 2009 as a Flotation Specialist.
