Mingwei is a mineral processing engineer with 25 years of experience.  He graduated in 1984 from Chinese North Eastern University with a Bachelor Science and a Master of Science, both majoring in mineral processing.   In 1990 he graduated from Swedish Lulea University with mineral processing degrees of Licentiate Engineering and PhD.

Since 1992, Mingwei has held senior technical positions with CSIRO Division of Mineral and Process Engineering, Mount Isa Mines, MIM Process Technologies, CSIRO Division of Minerals, Xstrata Technology, Ausenco and JKTech, working on new technology development, process design, plant comissioning, process optimisation, feasibility studies and R&D projects.

Mingwei is knowledgeable in all aspects of mineral processing, with a specialisation in stirred mills, hydro-cyclones, SAG/ball mills, fine particle beneficiation and mineral processing circuit design.

Mingwei joined JKTech in August 2009.
